2021 Georgia Balance of State Point in Time Homeless Count

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Georgia Balancer of State CoC will not conduct an unsheltered Point in Time Count in 2021. This course of action has been approved by the Balance of State CoC Board of Directors to protect the health and safety of those in our jurisdiction, especially the vulnerable homeless.
Community and Economic Development programs offer a variety of resources to help communities prepare for economic development, as well as create workforce housing. Our team has a long history of working with local leaders to develop solutions and create opportunities for communities to succeed in growing jobs, both through organic, small-business growth and through the location of economic development prospects. Our goal is to work hand in hand with local leaders to help communities reach their growth and development goals, improve quality of life, and create sustainable, livable, thriving places to live across our state.
Through various funding programs, the Department of Community Affairs disburses state and federal funds to help build or create something a community has deemed important, such as sidewalks, roads, parks, public buildings, water and sewer facilities, housing choices, or economic development projects.
