Low Sel-esteem
Some of the most powerful weapons in Satan’s arsenal are psychological. Fear is one of these. Doubt is another. Anger, hostility, worry, and of course, guilt. An uneasy sense of self-condemnation hangs over many Christains.
A survey was done by mostly married women on the things that causes them the most stress, and here are their answers.
A sense of romantic love in our marriage
In-law conflict
Low self-esteem
Problems with children
Financial difficulties
Loneliness, isolation, boredom
Sexual problems in marriage
Health problems
Fatigue and time pressures
Aging
The women rate these are by far the most depressing.
Jesus told the parable about the talents. The man with the one talent was immobilized by fear and feelings of inadequacy. Because he was so afraid of failure he didn't invest his talent, but buried it in the ground and tried to play it safe. He did not want a lot of people to know because of the fear if failure.
He did what a lot of people with low self-esteem do and that is nothing. And that exactly what Satan wants from us.
Are you in this picture? Freed, forgiven, a daughter of God, a member of His family, but thinking of yourself as a less?
1 John 3:1-2v
3 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
